Hi, I’m Beat Schindler
Son, brother, father, grandfather, writer, self-proclaimed maximalist, I have two birthdays – one in my passport, the other the day I discovered writing. I take both for real.
It happened when I was at my most successful, as I watched it crumbling like a proverbial house of cards. There’s no success like failure, a paradox many of you are familiar with.
It was tough. How to rebound and bloom, how to get back up, when you’re down and out for the count?
At the time I had already tried every success method under the sun. Invested large sums of money in seminars, retreats, and degrees, in exotic places, too, for myself, my friend and my son. Busily picked up nuggets of wisdom everywhere, growing as a person on the way, yet ended up losing my house, and car, and everything money can buy. Lifestyle-wise, the roller-coaster was still in full swing.
Times were great, in between the bad, but I still hadn’t found what I was looking for, now more than ever before – lasting success.
That’s when I noticed the only road I hadn’t taken before, the path marked “Simple.” How I managed to not see it before, beats me. Blame it on delusional trance and the fact it’s overgrown but either way, blame doesn’t count. I took it and found simplification of what you begin quickly leads to maxification of what you get done. Haven’t had the faintest desire of a u-turn since.
As I began to share my experience, I realized it is also of value to others.
I love nature, words, music, and the ability to communicate with the whole world. Most of all I love being with my family.
I dream of the History of the Word taught at schools all over the world. I now share my experience and ideas with all who will listen, in Swinglish, a mix of Swiss and English.
